Current research
Haikal utilizes microporous solids, including metal-organic frameworks, and their composites in various biomedical applications, such as: drug delivery, wound healing, and tissue engineering.
Future research vision
Haikal aspires to establish a Centre of Excellence for biomedical applications of MOF-polymeric composites to serve the region regarding synthesis, characterization and application of different formulations of MOF-polymer composites.
