Father of five, entrepreneur in the heart, scientist in the lab & BBQ master in every out trip. Dr. Omar Sakr is the founder and CEO of Nawah-Scientific, Middle East’s biggest private research center working as an outsourcing destination for research in the fields of natural and biomedical sciences. He is a pharmacist by education and holds a PhD in pharmaceutical technology from the University of Geneva, and an MBA from HULT business school in London. His career extends over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field, both in academia and industry. Dr. Sakr is also an adjunct Lecturer of entrepreneurship at Zewail City of Science and Technology. To his name, Omar holds several scientific and business awards among which is the prestigious Jack Ma award, Africa Business Heroes (2019).
