Her research interests broadly focuses on counteracting muscle wasting across aging and disease, to enhace physical performance. The core fields of her interest include sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss), cancer cachexia (muscle wasting in malignancy), mitochondrial dysfunction in aging and disease, chronic inflammation and muscle protein synthesis, sport and muscle physiology, and nutrition and muscle metabolism.
