Dr. Mohamed H. Noureldein is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at LSU Health Shreveport. After serving as a TA and earning an MSc in Biochemistry from the faculty of pharmacy, Ain shams university, Dr. Noureldein earned his Ph.D. from the American University of Beirut. He recently completed a highly productive postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. His research combines single-cell genomics and spatial transcriptomics to uncover how metabolic syndrome drives neurological complications like cognitive impairment and dementia. His work is supported by a prestigious NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award and has been recognized with major honors, including the American Diabetes Association Scholar Award and the Angelika Bierhaus Young Investigators Award.
