Menattallah Elserafy is a Programme Specialist at the Natural Sciences Sector of UNESCO. She is part of the Basic Sciences, Research, Innovation and Engineering (RIE) section under the Division of Science Policy and Basic Science (PBS). Menattallah has a PhD in Molecular Biology from Heidelberg University in Germany. Before joining UNESCO, she was an assistant Professor at Center for Genomics at Zewail City of Science and Technology in Egypt. She is also an alumni of the L'Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science Programme.
