About
phd student in Saarland University, and Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland. she have Master degree in Molecular and Computational Biomedicine from Luxembourg university.
Current research
Understanding gut microbiome metabolic and biosynthetic potential. The idea is to preform Genomic, transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis of inflammation associated gut microbiota to select the most promising biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) that encodes for biologically active compounds. These BGCs are bioengineered in recombinant strains, and are characterized for their biological activity.
Future research vision
looking into ways to rewire gut microbiome metabolism in association to healthier phenotypes and characterizing novel microbiome natural products.
