Dr. Eman Khalil is an adjunct assistant professor at The American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt, and founder of the Egyptian Neuroscience Network (ENN). She holds a Ph.D. in neurotoxicity from Ain Shams University, where her doctoral research investigated the neuroprotective effects of sea urchin-derived bioactive compounds against experimental neurotoxicity. She is a member of the ILAE Neurobiology Commission and serves as the National Coordinator for the African Brain Data Network (ABDN) and on the IBRO/Wellcome Trust Neuroscience Capacity Accelerator for Mental Health Program Lived Experience Advisory Board. A recipient of multiple IBRO grants, she works across neurotoxicity, EEG, fMRI, and systems neuroscience, including research on Parkinson’s disease, ADHD, and neurodegenerative disorders. Her current research at AUC focuses on traumatic brain injury, microbiome research, and data-driven neuroscience.
