About
Chirine Chawiche is a Freelance Researcher and Research Coordinator. She holds two Master’s degrees: one from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Université Grenoble Alpes, and another from the Neuroscience Research Center, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Lebanese University. She has previously contributed to research projects at the Neuroscience Research Center – Lebanese University and the Medical Learning Skills Academy.
Current research
Chirine Chawiche focuses her current research on neuropsychology and precision medicine. She holds two Master’s degrees: one in Neuropsychology from the Lebanese University, and another in Biosciences and Bioengineering Innovations for Precision Medicine (Clinical Research Track) from Université Grenoble Alpes, in partnership with the University of Barcelona and the University of Naples. Both of her Master’s theses focused on autism spectrum disorder. Her published work includes a co-authored paper on the non-sexual transmission of sexually transmitted diseases in women, to which she contributed through literature review and research strategy development. She currently has two manuscripts under review: one on neurocognitive disorders, where she coordinated project milestones, led team collaboration, and contributed to core manuscript sections; and a cross-sectional study on ADHD conducted in collaboration with medical doctors and researchers, representing the first study of its kind examining ADHD among medical students in Lebanon. Her research experience includes quantitative data analysis using SPSS, qualitative data editing, systematic literature review, and manuscript development, working across neuropsychology and global health topics. She is particularly interested in the intersection of neuropsychology and public health, with a focus on mixed-methods research that adopts an intersectional and inclusive approach, while emphasizing ethical research practices and meaningful engagement with vulnerable communities.
Future research vision
Her future research goals focus on contributing to projects in mental and global health using mixed-methods approaches to address complex health questions. She is also committed to pursuing PhD opportunities to further deepen her expertise and generate impactful, evidence-based insights for diverse populations.
