Aya Gomaa
PhD Student at the Institut Curie and Université Paris Cité
About
Gomaa is a PhD student at the Curie Institute and the University of Paris. She holds a Masters degree in synthetic and systems biology from the Paris Diderot University (now the University of Paris).
Current research
Gomaa is currently establishing genetic engineering tools to generate synthetic gene regulatory networks (GRNs) in the fruit fly, a powerful model organism for studying development and disease.
Future research vision
Gomaa is interested in developing synthetic biology tools to help understand developmental biology and gene regulation questions.
