Al-Tohamy's research interests lie in elucidating the etiology and mechanisms of multifactorial phenotypes and understanding how it arises from the interplay of intrinsic genetic pathways and extrinsic environmental factors.
Future research vision
Al-Tohamy will apply AI to speed the analysis of complex biological networks to discover novel strategies for combating drug resistant microbes.
